1. Who we are

These terms cover everything you buy from scanreviews.co.uk. In them, "we", "us" and "ScanReviews" mean ScanReviews, trading from the address shown on your order confirmation. You can reach us on 07510 486300 or at [email protected]. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

2. What you are buying

A printed QR review card, or cards, each supplied with a clear acrylic desk stand. Before dispatch we generate a QR code that points at the destination link you give us at checkout, print it onto the card, and scan-test it.

Cards are A6, matte board, black or white. The Multilink Review Card is printed in the cream and gold finish photographed, and its QR code opens a web page we build and host for you, carrying the review links, social profiles and other details you send us. We update that page on request, free of charge.

Because each card is printed to order with your own destination encoded, it is made to your specification.

3. Prices and payment

• One card £20. Two cards £35. Three cards £50.
• Orders of more than three cards are charged with pack pricing applied to each group of three, then £20 or £35 for the remaining one or two cards.
• The Multilink Review Card is £40, with its page included. Mini review cards and keychains are charged at the prices shown in the shop.
• Prices include UK delivery and any VAT that applies at the time of your order.
• Payment is taken in full at checkout through Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.

Your order is accepted when we email you an order confirmation. If we cannot fulfil an order we will tell you and refund you in full.

4. The loyalty scheme subscription

The loyalty scheme is an optional extra on the Multilink Review Card, priced at £4.99 a month. It is a subscription: the first month is charged with your order and Stripe then charges the same amount monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time by emailing [email protected], and the scheme switches off at the end of the period you have paid for. The rest of your card and your page carry on working. If you restart the scheme later, your customers' stamps are restored.

5. The link you give us

We encode exactly the destination you supply. Please check it carefully, a typo in your link becomes a printed card that goes to the wrong place. If you spot a mistake, tell us before we dispatch and we will correct it at no charge.

You confirm that you have the right to link to the destination you give us, and that it does not point at anything unlawful. We may refuse an order and refund you if a destination is unlawful or clearly not yours.

6. Changing a destination later

Your printed code can be repointed at a new destination after delivery, free of charge, without reprinting the card. Contact us and we will make the change. We aim to keep this service available for as long as the business operates, but it is a service rather than a permanent guarantee.

7. Delivery

Orders placed on a working day are dispatched the next working day. Delivery is normally 1 to 2 days after dispatch, within the UK, and is free. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

8. Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers normally have 14 days to change their mind. Because each card is personalised, printed with a code generated for the destination you choose. That right does not apply to the printed cards once we have started making them.

In practice we are more generous than the law requires:

• Tell us before we dispatch and we will cancel and refund in full.
• If a card arrives damaged, faulty, or fails to scan, tell us within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.
• If we made the mistake, wrong link, wrong platform, wrong quantity. We fix it at our cost.

Business customers buying in the course of a business do not have consumer cancellation rights, but the faulty-goods commitments above still apply.

9. Refunds

Approved refunds go back to the card used for payment, normally within 5 working days of us agreeing the refund.

10. Our liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise our total liability for an order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not responsible for how many reviews you receive, the card provides a route to your review page, nothing more, and we have no control over the platform it points at.

11. Complaints and governing law

Email [email protected] and we will reply within one working day. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we do with your personal data when you use scanreviews.co.uk. The data controller is ScanReviews, contactable at [email protected] or 07510 486300.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, business name, email, phone number, delivery address, and the destination links you want your cards to point at.
• When you contact us: your name, email, business name and your message.
• When you pay: nothing. Payment happens on Stripe's own checkout. We receive a confirmation that payment succeeded plus the last four digits and card brand. Never the full card number, and never the security code.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To make and deliver your order, and to send order confirmations, necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To answer enquiries you send us. Our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
• To keep records of sales. Our legal obligation under UK tax law.

We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to, and we never sell your data.

Who else sees it

• Stripe Payments UK, Ltd., processes your payment and holds your card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare, Inc., hosts and serves this website.
• Our email provider, delivers order confirmations and replies.
• Royal Mail or our courier, receives your delivery address to bring you the parcel.
• HMRC and our accountant, where the law requires records to be kept.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years after the end of the tax year they fall in, because UK tax law requires it. Enquiry emails that do not lead to an order are deleted within 12 months. Your destination links are kept for as long as we support repointing your code, so that we can change it if you ask.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Your basket is held in your own browser's local storage on your device, not on our servers, clearing your browser data clears it. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page, which are necessary for payment and fraud prevention.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, or object to our use of it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

1. Who we are

These terms cover the free pages you make with ScanReviews and share at me.scanreviews.co.uk. In them, "we", "us" and "ScanReviews" mean ScanReviews. You can reach us on 07510 486300 or at [email protected]. By making a page you agree to these terms. Buying cards is covered by our Terms of Sale instead.

2. Who can make a page

• You must be 18 or over.
• One login, with one page, for each email address.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your login, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

3. Your page and its name

Your page's name is its address, me.scanreviews.co.uk/yourname. Names are first come, first served. We may take a name back and give you another if it copies a person, brand or business you do not represent, or could mislead the people who visit.

If you rename your page, your old address keeps sending visitors to the new one for 30 days, and after that anyone may take the old name. Your QR code keeps working through a rename, because it opens your page by its own number rather than its name.

4. What you put on your page

Everything you add stays yours: your name, words, photo and links. You give us permission to store it, show it on your page and in your dashboard, and make the copies we need to run the service, for as long as your page exists. You confirm that you have the right to use what you add, and that your links go where their labels say they go.

5. What is not allowed

Your page, and everything it links to, must not contain or lead to:

• anything illegal in the UK;
• scams or phishing, including fake log in pages and anything that tricks people into handing over money, passwords or personal details;
• viruses or other harmful software;
• sexual content;
• anything that sexualises or endangers children, which we report to the authorities;
• threats, harassment or hate, or anything that encourages violence, terrorism, self-harm or suicide;
• weapons, drugs or anything else that is illegal to sell in the UK;
• anything pretending to be a person or business you do not represent;
• someone else's copyright or trade marks, used without their permission;
• spam, or pages made in bulk or by automated means.

You must not try to break, overload or get around the security of ScanReviews.

6. Reporting a page, and what we do about it

Every page carries a Report this page link. You can also email [email protected] with the page's address and what is wrong with it. We read every report.

If a page breaks these terms or the law, we may take the page down, block a website from every page, or delete the page and its login. Where someone could be seriously harmed we act first and explain afterwards. We pass information to the police or other authorities where the law requires it or someone is at risk.

7. If we take your page down

We will email you to say why, unless the law or a risk of harm stops us. If you think we have got it wrong, reply to that email or write to [email protected], and we will look at the decision again and reply within 14 days.

8. What the free plan includes

A free page carries up to 5 links, any of our themes and your own QR code. We may change what the free plan includes. If a change would take something off your page, we will email you at least 30 days before it happens.

9. Deleting your page

You can delete your page at any time in Settings. Your page, photo, stats and login go straight away, and any QR code you have printed stops working. If we ever stop offering free pages, we will email you at least 60 days before, so you have time to move your links somewhere else.

10. Our liability

We provide free pages as they are, and now and then they may be unavailable. We are not responsible for the websites your page links to, or for what other people put on their pages. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise we are only responsible for losses you could reasonably have expected when you made your page, and never for lost profits or lost business. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and if a change matters, we will email you before it applies to your page.

12. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. Our privacy notice for free pages explains what we do with your personal data.

Privacy Notice for Free Pages

This notice explains what we do with personal data when you make a free page with ScanReviews, and when someone visits one. The data controller is ScanReviews, contactable at [email protected] or 07510 486300. Buying cards is covered by our Privacy Policy instead.

What we keep when you make a page

• Your login: your email address, and your password stored only as a scrambled hash that nobody, including us, can turn back into your password. We also note when you signed up, confirmed your email and last changed your password.
• Your page: its name, and whatever you choose to add: your display name, a line about you, a photo, your links, your social profiles and your design. Your page is public, so anyone with its address or QR code can see what you put on it.
• Emails we send you: the link that confirms your email address, and a password reset link when you ask for one. We do not send marketing email.

What we count when someone visits a page

When someone opens a page or taps one of its links, we record that it happened, which link was tapped, whether they came through the page's address or its QR code, the country and town their connection comes from, whether they used a phone or a computer, and which kind of browser. To count visitors without cookies, we also keep a scrambled mark made from their internet address and browser details. It changes every midnight, so nobody can be followed from one day to the next. We never store the internet address itself, and page owners only ever see totals.

Free pages set no cookies and load nothing from other websites.

Keeping the service safe

When someone signs up, checks whether a name is free, or asks for a password reset or another confirmation email, we keep a scrambled form of their internet address or email address, so that repeated attempts can be slowed down. These records are deleted within 7 days.

When you log in to your dashboard we set one cookie, which keeps you logged in for 30 days or until you log out. The dashboard cannot work without it, so we do not ask for consent to it.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To run your login and your page, and to send the emails that go with them. Necessary to perform our agreement with you, set out in our terms of use for free pages.
• To count visits and taps, so each page owner can see how their page is doing. Our legitimate interest in providing that, using as little data as we can.
• To prevent abuse, look into reports and take down pages that break our terms. Our legitimate interest in keeping ScanReviews safe for the people who use it and visit it.
• To share information with the police or other authorities where the law requires it. Our legal obligation.

We never sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else sees it

• Cloudflare, Inc., hosts ScanReviews, stores pages and visit counts, and delivers pages to visitors.
• Resend, sends our emails.
• The police or other authorities, where the law requires it or someone is at risk of harm.

Cloudflare and Resend may handle data outside the UK. Where they do, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

• Your login, your page and its visit counts are kept until you delete your page in Settings, or we delete it for breaking our terms. Deleting removes them straight away, and they are gone from our hosting provider's backups within 30 days.
• If you rename your page, your old name keeps pointing at it for 30 days.
• A confirmation link works for 7 days, and a password reset link for 1 hour.
• If we take a page down, we keep it so the decision can be looked at again, until it is deleted.
• Reports we receive by email are kept for as long as we need them to deal with the report.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or object to our use of it. You can delete your page and login yourself at any time in Settings, or ask us to. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

Free pages are for people aged 18 or over. If we learn that a page belongs to someone younger, we delete it.

Changes to this notice

The date at the top shows when this notice last changed. If a change matters, we will email you before it applies.

Delivery

We currently deliver to mainland UK addresses only. If you are outside that, email us before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.

If your parcel has not arrived within five working days of dispatch, email [email protected] and we will chase it or send a replacement.

Cancelling before dispatch

Changed your mind, or spotted a typo in your link? Email or call us before your order is dispatched. We will cancel and refund in full, or correct the link at no charge.

Returns

Each card is printed to order with a code generated for your own destination, so it is a personalised product. That means the standard 14-day right to change your mind does not apply once we have started making it. What we do commit to:

How to start a return or replacement

Email [email protected] with your order reference and a line about what went wrong. We reply within one working day and cover return postage whenever the fault is ours.
